Registration

Are pets allowed?

Pets are allowed on the property, and trail during Dirt Runner Training Days and Events. Pet parents must clean up after their dogs and keep them on a leash at all times.

 

Is camping available?

Yes, we have camping spots and fire pits. Camping is subject to availability and is not offered every weekend. Check out our event calendar for details or email us at info@dirtrunner.us.

Is parking available?

Parking at Dirt Runner is free for any event.

Can I get a refund or transfer to another race?

Refunds will not be issued. But we can transfer your registration to another race. Just email us at info@dirtrunner.us and keep your registration confirmation for the day you are available to run.

Switching Days of a purchased ticket is not a problem. Just email to info@dirtrunner.us. Please contact us at least 24 hour prior to your scheduled race to make the switch.

Group Discount:

Group: 5 + members in a team – $ 40.00 per person.

What are the costs for monthly Race Event?

Runner Fee: $40-55,  Please check the event page for details

 

Kids Courses: $ 15.00 per child – ages 4-11

 

Kids under 10 years old will be admitted free of charge as spectators only.

Spectators: $ 5.00 per person. For Kids Courses, one parent gets a free spectator pass when Kids Ticket is purchased.

Tickets holders of valid 4x Run Pass or Season Pass can race in our monthly events at no extra cost.

What are the costs for Training Day?

Runner Fee: $ 25.00

Kids Course (ages 4-13): $15.00 per child

Kids (ages 6-13) may run the kids course and main course (4 Miles only) at no extra charge.  On main course must be accompanied by parent.

 

 

 

What is the difference between Training Day and Race Event?

Training Days are our weekly races. This is all about the basic primal workout, no finisher medals, no t-shirts, just you against the clock.  This is a great opportunity for families to do a full blown obstacle trail together.  Children 5 and up are allowed with parents on the trail.  Training Days are designed to be smaller events and are more flexible since you have a lot of race dates to choose from. But you do get all the amenities and choice of post race activities that are available at any race.

Race Events are fun monthly races. We also support number of great charities that have special race dates and portion of each ticket sold goes directly to those foundations. Finisher Medals are given out only in these events along with a free beer and T-Shirt.  Check out our Event Calendar for details.

Do I Have To Sign A Waiver?

Waiver must be signed by every runner and spectator during registration. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Dirt Runner events present obvious risks to every participant, and we want to make sure you understand and agree to the terms and conditions in the waiver before signing. You must be 12 years or older to participate in a Dirt Runner Race.  Dirt Runner does not provide participant injury insurance.

 

ALL UNDER 18 participants must have parent or legal guardian present to sign the waiver. If one is not available, the under 18 participant MUST bring the waiver with the parent’s signature notarized. Ages 4-11 have 2 separate courses to run. A family friend, Aunt/Uncle, etc. is NOT a legal guardian.

How do I register?

Registration can be done online or on-site. Cash payments and credit cards are accepted in the registration tent. On site registrations are welcome, subject to sold out events.

Photo ID has to be presented during registration. No exceptions can be made.

Credit Card Payment Confirmation or Active.com Registration Confirmation is your ticket when you check in.

Race Day

Are awards given at the finish line?

Finisher Medals are given out in our monthly Race Events.   You also get a free beer or drink, depending on age.

What happens if I get sick or injured?

CAUTION this race can be dangerous. Do not over exert yourself or leave the track for any reason during the race. If you do get sick or injured, first aid supplies are available. Professional medical personal may not be immediately available to help. With more serious injuries you will have to stay put until we can call an ambulance and bring the paramedics to you. Skin cuts and scrapes are the most common occurrences, but injuries such as twisted ankles do happen. For larger events we will have ambulance and paramedics on the property.

Is water / food available onsite?

Water Stations will be provided to all runners along the track.   Food will be available for purchase on site before and after the race. In our camping area, you can also bring your own grill and eat your own food.  However, alcohol still cannot be brought onto the property.  Coolers will be checked for alcohol and it will be confiscated.  Beer is available for purchase after the race.

Are outdoor showers available?

Showers are available once you complete the race. Just don’t forget to bring a towel, change of clothes, socks and shoes.

Can I skip an obstacle?

Any obstacle can be skipped by runners if it is too hard to complete. Always try to go through every obstacle, do not simply quit when faced with a challenge.

What happens if a race is cancelled?

Race will Not be Cancelled due to typical weather conditions: However, if persistent strong rain, high winds or cold temperatures make the race hard to complete, you can always switch days of the race online or upon arrival. If extreme weather makes the race unsafe, we will post cancellation notice on our website, Facebook and our company voicemail. In this case, everybody gets automatic rain check for another race.

How will my finishing time be recorded?

For Training Days and most Race Events we have sign in time board and large display sport clocks at the start and finish line.  We rely on the honor system and you are responsible for filling out your start and end time.

What are the race start times?

Please check the individual events for start times.  Show up at registration about 30 minutes before your preferred start time.  We will post details on our Facebook page and on our website.

Can I bring alcohol?

NO: No Alcohol can be brought onto the property.

What should I bring?

Shoes: A good pair of running shoes. Something that will give you a combination of grip and ankle stability is ideal.

Clothes: Lightweight fabric that dries quickly is important. Even in colder temperatures, warm but light clothing is the best. Heavy clothing dries slow and will make you colder after you sweat or get wet from the water obstacles. And always bring a change of clothes and a towel, especially for the After Event.

Gloves: Strong and water resistant gloves to protect your hands from possible splinters in the obstacles.  Plastic bags for your muddy shoes and clothes are recommended.

Towel for drying off is also recommended.

How is the team finish time determined?

The time of your slowest team member will determine your team’s rank.

How do I create a team?

Start Registration as an individual and then select to start or join a Team.

Create a Team: On the registration page, under the Team Information select Create a Team option.  Choose a name and password for your team. Use your Team Center to send out emails to your friends, family, and co-workers to join the team you have created. They will receive an email with a unique link to join your

team. Potential team members can also join your team without the unique link if they know your team name and password.

 

After registration, to manage your team or to send out invites to others log in at myevents.active.com.

 

How do I join a team?

 

You can join an existing team in 2 ways:  1: You are emailed the unique registration link by your team captain that brings you to the specific team registration page.  2: If you know your team name and password- go to the registration page and click Join a Team and search for your team. Enter the password and register with your team.

What is the team discount?

For Race Events: 5 + members in a team get a discount of $5 per person. During registration for any event, in the Select Category page, choose Team Registration selection.  The Team Captain has to register everyone on the team at the same time. Team members cannot be added later at the discounted rate.
